Ok this is going to sound bad but my parents want to buy me a new second gun i own an 08 proto pmr right now.

What is a good second gun for a guy that never plays snake and usually a back and sometimes forward.

Why would you need another gun, Whats wrong with you 08? If your really looking for another gun I would say probably the g3 Virtued or a SE G3. Only problem is that gun would kick your other guns ass and you'd never use it so you mind as well sell the old one unless you want a "Backup gun"

its like 400 to 500 and not a big proto fan
and someone that worked for dangerous power told me to wait until like 2011 to buy one of their guns because they are coming out with a whole new series dont qoute me on it dont know if its true but thats what frank said (he is the guy that i talked to at the booth).

Look into a Vanguard AR-V Creed if you want the best of the best.

Buy the same gun you have now. That way you can interchange parts and have other similar benefits. Or get a better gun, and use your current as a secondary.

If that's too expensive, don't get a secondary.

Invert Mini or DP G3, as others have said. They are inexpensive, and will work until you get your PM8 up and running again.

If you can, my suggestion would be to get another PM8, as then if something goes wrong on one you can change out parts, etc.

Before you buy a backup marker do you have everything else you need? Like ball hauling gear, good shoes w/soft cleets, knee pads, jersey, extra mask lens, marker parts kit, etc.? If you have everything else that you need and still want a secondary gun for that price range I would suggest DP F8 or Threshold if you can still get your hands on it. Or etek ego. If you can spare an extra $100 on top, ANSGEAR.com is having a nice sale on all their left-over '08 egos. Don't get '09 PMR..waste of money. Mini is always a solid choice as well.

Btw, DP's new gun for this year is the rev-i. Little out of your price-range, but they just came out with it. Should be arriving @ the stores some time next week.
