Nice shot. I'm not into number ratings, but I'll give you my input here. The sun needs to be more towards the back of you to give better lighting on your subject(the car). There are very harsh shadows over the car in this shot. I'd also get down a tad lower so you see more sky and less ground. Maybe turn around the side of the car so you can see more of it. I'd suggest bumping your aperture up a smidge too to get a better DOF. Overall it's a cool shot. Nice car!

9/10 I don't like how extreme the contrasts between the right side and the left side is.
Seems kinda silly, but it is just me.
I am still kinda new to photography, so don't take anything I say to heart.

Well I'm not sure what you did in post editing but here are my thoughts-

Back up or zoom out. Your doggie has feet, make sure that they are in the photo!
Watch your focus. If you have a DSLR, find the continuous autofocus and use it!
Try and time it to wear the dog looks happy, not dead :P

Again, not into number ratings. You did pretty well on exposure and what not. Just work on framing and timing the subject.

It is an amazing photo, however I don't like how you can see the other Giraffe's neck, but nothing else from it. Also, that tree branch.

Could be framed a tad better and it is under exposed, but nice poinsettias.

6/10, maybe I'm just picky, but it's way over processed.

This thread gets no love, so I'll respond to you I'd say 4/10, It's a dog behind a fence the tree is extremely distracting and it's not very appealing although it is sharp and has a nice dof.

6-7/10 its a little plain, but i like the idea of it.
Posted Image

i just started talking some pictures, so give me some thoughts on this please. its using my friends dads D90 with a low light lens. i forgot to change the AF, so its a little blurry.
i forgot to add, this pales in comparison to most of yours, but it is one of my only pics on hand.

6/10, Good concept but then angle seems to be just "Oh he is playing piano" so you point and shoot. I would either back up a bit and get some visual tension on the edges of the piano, or get in close on the hands playing. Maybe lower the Av to eliminate distractions in the background.

Edit: I don't really like the weighting of this photo, some suggestions on that specifically would be awesome :)

ok, lets see;
first one, i like! 7/10 (i dont know why, but it seems a little unfocused to me)
second one, 6/10, I don't really see anything in the shot that's interesting....
third one, 9/10, i think its framed well, (or at least the way i like it) and the way it is focused on the gun, and not anything else is cool.
finally, the forth, meh, i think that the third is much better, 4/10
Posted Image
yes it is just trees, but i like the way to beam of light goes across it. i think the ISO is a little high cause it looks grainy to me, (personal rating? 6/10) thought it is on manual focus, so it was pretty bright looking at to focus it.

i think it might look better in your head than it actually does. good concept, but not all there. regardless of the ray of light, its a pretty uninteresting picture. 3/10.
keep it up though, taking nature shots is by no means easy.

more black and white from a recent trip to NYC.
