Obviously a poppet but can anyone tell me what type of valve it uses? (Spyder, Timmy, Fusion etc)

Thanks.

The valve is similar to a spyder valve, but not interchangeable. There used to be a few offered for it, the empire balanced valve, Macdev Sonic (Red) valve, ebay valve (seller makes them), and there might be one or two others that are out there but absolutely difficult to find. Most of that information can be found in the Promaster subsection on ICD-O.

The Promaster operates very similarly to the Intimidator. I think as the story goes, Simon (Manike) was assisting with design of a poppit style gun. However the partnership was, plans fell through and one variation of design with with ICD and the other went with Bob Long. Obviously this is a very short hand reference and I believe Simon has a video out there on YouTube that explains this into greater depth than I can remember. Regardless, Simon had a hand in the design of both the Promaster and Intimidator but neither were exactly what he originally designed.

yeah it uses an updated version of the valve found in the popular ICD Bushmaster series of guns. Promasters are fine shooters even today, I highly reccomend them.

Ok, if its between a promaster and an A5, definitely go Promaster. Better and more high end in every possible way. Parts are still easy to find as well.

Its for a project gun I'm going to ruin, I'd probably feel bad tearing up a nice gun. I suppose I'll see the prices on them.

Get the Promaster, way more high end, better features, and can be used in speed ball as well as woodsball.

It honestly sounds like you are trolling for a negative with you most recent posts. If you are going to just destroy it, buy the A5 and save a Promaster for someone whom is actually going to take care of it.

You can't top Tippmann for destroyability.
