What are the differences between the g4 and g5, and is it worth the price difference

No macroline, which will solve the leak issues, a new trigger which is REALLY nice, and a slightly different bolt which makes almost no difference. I believe there are a few other things but I don't know them off the top of my head. Go to DPs website if you want to see all of the differences but those are the main that make a difference. Whether or not it's worth it is up to you entirely. Depending on your budget it may be worth it to get a G5 or a G4 may be better since they're ($50..? I think) cheaper on ANS. Also a used Axe would be good, or an eXTCy. All are great markers, you can't really go wrong with any of them.

I'd go for the g5, i mean if you're gonna buy new might as well get the latest and greatest. Plus the operation of the g4 and g5 is the same, so might as well shell out a couple extra bucks to get the creature comforts.

G5 all the way the dp macro line are terrible the g5 macroless feture is amazing for the price and with the great dp asa you cant go wrong. Its the best dp gun made in my opinion. It feels great its super light but feels solid unlike a g4. Save yourself the hastle and get the g5 and never look back. Used they are like $200 so you might want to loom into that. If tou have any questions on buying used ide be happy to help because i know a lot of people are hesitant about it but thats how you find great deals. Like i just bought a nice geo 1 with case and all for $215. You just have to know how to shop.

G5 worth the little extra
If I didn't buy so many guns for the sole purpose of fondling them i'd be a very rich man.

Am I the only one that when they see FEP QUEST they read it as FAP-QUEST then chuckle silently?

when i was looking for a new marker i was sold on the g4,style, ergo, ease of use and maint. then i shot one at my local field, not bad until the owner told me about all the probs he had had with the marker. it was purchased new around x-mas, maybe 4-5 cases through it, had several leaks, and another issue with bolt stick. he even used a thinner than factory lube and still had the issue. I'M BY NO MEANS AN EXPERT, but i do as much research as i can before making a significant purchase, imo, maybe a used mini or something a lil more reputable.

*try shooting one first if you havent already,
*look into the customer service and warranty issues others have had with DP
*i do think its a decent gun, but you can get a better used for the same money.
best of luck!!

They are basically the same... some people say that the internal hosing or whatever will stop the leaking(it wonŽt. Any other changes that they made are basically insignificant. IŽd say go with the G5 though because troubleshooting is much more simple in the G5.

Don't listen to all the people flaming DP, they're great guns as long as you use good lube and take care of it

No, it's not that they dont work and they have out of the box issues (I mean, that's still enough to drive you away), but the engine itself just sucks.
