Ive been playing paintball for a whole now, an have found I could really really use some protective gear for sliding and diving. I never used to do it so often, but it's definitely become more frequent and I'm kinda tired of scars n scratches etc. so from everyone's personal experience, what slider/knee/elbow pads do you trust?

Dye makes really good stuff. Also Empire. Have no experience with Sly.

I have been using Dye pads since 2005 and I refuse to go with anything else. I have tried Empire, Sly, and PE and they simply do not compare.

I really like my dye knee pads, when you hit the ground you don't even feel it. Everything else, I use planet eclipse, which I love. Comfortable and cool while giving nice protection

As much as I hate their markers, Dye makes some of the best soft goods on the market. They're expensive, but they're the best. Their arm pads and knee pads are amazing. Don't bother with Proto Knee pads as the difference there is actually important. As far as pants go, Proto (again Dye) makes some great pants, and you don't need to go for the more expensive kind.

As with all soft goods, the older versions are almost exactly the same as the newer stuff. If you can find last years gear or even older at a reduced price, I would go for it.

Dye if you can afford it, other than that PE or Empire. Dye really is top notch though.

In terms of fit and sizing how well do dye and PE match their size charts? Do they possibly for bigger or smaller?

dye runs a little small.

Dye armpads XL are extremely tight on me.
PE XL are too big for m e.

My dye pads are really comfy, and i get plenty of bounces as well. Ive never had any experience with other companies, but ive liked my dye pad a lot.

I used to use Dye pads but have since switched to PE. Dye Elbow pads are pretty good but I find their knee pads to be unbearably uncomfortable.
