I would say that it IS equivalent to Blue Loctite but you might want to test it on one fitting first to make sure it holds AND releases the same.

If it's free, use it. If it breaks, get loctite. Loctite is just a brand like snap on or sony. Nothing wrong with straying off the popular brand and use the cheaper counterpart.

no it wont, its made to just like blue loctite. there's nothing wrong with using offbrand threadlockers. just make sure you get BLUE/MEDIUM STRENGTH and not RED/HIGH STRENGTH. you should be fine, but if youre really unsure then test it on something else before you put it on your gun.

True for their epoxy, not for this stuff.

From their site:

Quote

J-B Weld Threadlockers provide a reliable and superior lock and seal for threaded fasteners. Ideal on all mechanical parts, body assemblies, and hundreds of other applications to prevent loosening of fasteners from shock and vibration. J-B Weld Perma-lock Medium Strength Threadlocker is ideal for fastener applications requiring easy disassembly with hand tools.

So yes, it works just like loc-tite.

well i guess i should have tried to get the steel line off of the stock asa first.  i think wgp used red loctite on the dame thing. any advice on how to get it off?

i wraped it in a towel clamped it in a vice and had at it... it didnt move. will heating the fitting, which will heat the asa damage it? id be using mep gas not propane.
