A new day has dawned. "Tomorrow" shall now be known as..........."today."

Quote

The bolt of tomorrow, today! In development on and off since 2006, the final incarnation of the Shocker Eigenbolt is the result of the tireless perspicacity and utter ingenuity of the Shocker Community. Special thanks extended to Gisgo, whose efforts in testing and optimization of the major unique features of this bolt were the very crux of its development.
Features:
- PTFE anodized surface with reduced diameters for low friction
-AM60 magnesium alloy, easily the lightest metal bolt in shocker history, and in fact lighter than polymer bolts. Recoil is reduced.
-Spring mod and oring kit included. Legit Rhino Springs. Spring mod to Metal Mods specification.
- Recock assist ports for improved efficiency and ROF
- Air bumper on forward stroke
- QEV rear sail venting for improved ROF and efficiency.
- Optimized port shape and placement
-1500 to 2300 shots per 68/45. No, really.
- Open bolt face optimized to reduce rollback and stack clipping, without hitting the ball in the very weakest part of it like a flat face does.
- I can tell you, with no ego, this is my finest sword.

Pairs great with our still-in-stock SFT threaded Eigenbarrel in .678!

If that shot count out of a tank is true, it might warrant me finally dropping the money to build up a Shocker. I'm gonna be following this mod closely.

No shens this time. That was a realistically achieved result, however on the extreme end of the setup spectrum.

16.5 seems pretty ridiculous. Even something like 12-13 is insane for a Shocker.

I'll believe it when I see it, but if its accurate and doesn't effect things like shot quality or sound negatively, then I may have to get me a Shocker.

If I see 16.5 pods, it will be...

That's because you're thinking in terms of the stock bolt. It's pretty much already spelled out in the OP, but there's 3 main things that the Eigenbolt changes for the better. The main air ports are optimized so they're not open longer than they need to be. There's QEV holes on the back of the bolt to vent the air holding it forward allowing for a faster response in shutting the ports, and the "reset slots" just in front of the bolt sail allow residual dump chamber pressure to pre-load the bolt on it's backward stroke to account for solenoid lag. All three combine to effectively stop air loss beyond what is needed to shoot the paintball.

Its just odd to think of taking a Shocker, and then doubling its shot count, or any gun for that matter. People need to buy more of Lurkers stuff, more monies for them, so then they can be free from the restraints of an existing platform and just make their own gun.

I ordered mine earlier tonight. I can't wait to get my hands on it. I may do a quick video when I get it, and then a full review once I've used it a bit.

...a Shocker.

Not 300fps and a 70ci so infer what you want.

Results:

Quote

All shots fired today were with 8ms dwell, 160 psi on the VA gauge, 285 fps, 70 ci tank, 47* ambient temp, and shooting Valken Redemption.

Looks like about 500-550psi per Rotor @ 285fps.

I can think of 4 more. Ultralight weight, magnesium alloy lighter than a delrin bolt to reduce recoil. Comes with a rhino spring, recoil/efficiency. No front oring like an HE bolt so easy bolt out the back for relube. Open face bolt that will allow an anti roll back tip to be installed on the bolt guide. This does 2 things, 1st perfect ball positioning. 2nd, more importantly it takes up dead air space to sustain the compressed air's potential energy longer in the firing cycle. Little dubious on how this will test out. We are still testing.

Its the most common modern spool valve so we've be tinkering with them forever. This bolt has been held up for 4 years. Happy to finally order a new one myself. Hopefully luxe owners will get a run soon.
