How the hell do you get this piece of shit off?! I got the bottom piece off and I see where you make adjustments with a screwdriver to sweet spot. But I can't get the rest of it off! I literally scratched up the ano on my reg now trying every way possible. It's as if someone red loctited it on

You should be able to get one for under $15 at most hardware stores.

I have to go to homedepot for some wood screws and a big Allen key set. I'll look for one when I go

Got the strap wrench and it still won't come off! I swear someone put red loctite on this thing. Is there any other way to get to the internals? I don't think this reg is coming any time soon

Get some electric tape and wrap it a good 4-5 times around the middle. Take a pair of vice grips and clamp it down on the tape (not tight enough to bend it). The tape should protect the finish and give you enough grip to wrench it loose. I tried this on an old CP reg and it worked flawlessly.

Got it I tried the strap wrench again just in case. Apparently I didn't know that the wgp reg you have to turn right to loosen, not left
but now I have to figure out how to get to the piston

Clockwise to tighten, counter-clockwise to loosen.

That's what it is normally but I had to turn it counter-clockwise to tighten. Now I wish I could get the last part of the reg off. The whole reg is off the body, the bottom piece is off the reg, and now I can't get the top piece. So far I tried a vice, pliers, and a strap wrench. Any ideas because that's what I need to get off to get to the piston

I'm just going to get a new regulator. It shouldn't be this hard to service the reg. I have no idea how the owner before me was able to work on the reg
