I'm looking to invest in one, but I'm not sure which would be the best. I'll mostly be using it for paintball. I would just get the White Edition of the Go Pro 3($200) Or just the Contour Roam($120)Contour

The Quality is about the same, just want some others opinions/Input.

i personally prefer the contour simply because of the smaller profile whether mounted on the barrel or the mask it seems tighter than the go pro

I liked my gopro over my contour. In regards to smaller profile. Odds are wherever you mount it, barrel, mask, head or chest if it got hit mounted somewhere, you probably would have got hit without it mounted. GoPro's CS is a lot better imo and the camera can be used in more ways. More settings as-well.

ive had tons of go pros and never had an issue...they arent really that bulky and can be used as a digital camera with the backpack! Way more versatile

I have the hero 3 and it works great for paintball, head mount or barrel. It takes a beating!

Although I would normally tell you to get the GoPro, the White edition is horrible. It is worse than a GoPro 2.

A GoPro 3 hero silver edition has the same quality video as a Hero 2. Either save up or buy a Roam. Why not get the Roam 2?

Try the polaroid xs100.

Same size and rez as the contour yet comes with 2 usefull mounts (barrel mount, and helmet mount -both non permanent. Bonus!!). does 1080p, 720 @60fps with a flick of a switch and has a position sensor. No wifi for remote control, but at its price point I dont expect that.

Great to 30 ft underwater, and takes hits from paintballs like a champ.

Take a look at some footage:

For 169 all in mounts and all its a steal IMHO.

I can get the White Edition for $170 and How is it so much worse than a GP2? The Quality is the same as the Contour.

The Quality between the White Edition the Contour Roam 1 is near the same. The lighting is somewhat better than the contour. Only differences I've found.

This is very true. Id either pick up a used hero 2 or a black edition hero 3. The stills on that are amazing and so is the fps rate at high resolution. I would recommend a go pro just because how much more versatile it is (vacation montages, amazing stills, other sports) but if you truly want a camera for paintball, the feed neck mounted XD line is nice.
SoCal baller. Home of some of the best paintball ever played.

A Used Hero 2 goes for $200 when they're beat to shit around my area -____- I don't wanna drop $400 on a Cam either :P

I think I'm just going to go for the GoPro because of it's versatility and It will most likely be the White Edition :P I can get it for $175 after tax sooooo yeah. haha
