well I had the same dilemma so this is what i figured out.
The planet eclipse pants have more padding and are heavier, the exalt have less padding but still a good amount and are more breathable. I would go with the exalt since they are cheaper,have good padding,look cool,durable, and not to mention light and breathable. This guy Gotdsm on youtube wear them and he says he like them over empire pants and anyother because they are lighter.

I love all of Exalt's other gear (reg cover, barrel maid, tank cover) and I would expect their pants to be up to the same standard of quality. The one person at my field that has them liked them quite a bit.
