what a lot of people dont know is when you have one tuned properly, it shot better than a timmy. Plus you are guarantee to have the best looking gun on the field. but you're right. parts are a pain in the ass to find, so you're SOL if something breaks. I would recommend buying a 2nd NME just for parts if you go this route. if you're lucky you may be able to find one for like $100

I often wonder how much of this is overall miss information and a gun getting a bad rap for no good reason other than huge amounts of bias towards the bigger comapanies i.e. WGP cockers over System X's, or BL over ICD

I don't have any large amounts of experience with the NME however as far as electronices the T-board can be installed in just about anything, including timmies and timmy clones

Also their work wasn't shotty at all. It was one of the good things that came out of System X factories. Each gun was milled, created, and assembled in America. They were actually super-guns with a price ranging from $950 and up when they came out. For the price that you can get them at now they are a steal and can out shoot most modern guns in today's scene. They aren't the most gas efficient and parts are indeed PITA to locate. But if you buy another NME for parts like NoLimits suggested than it'll be just fine. Also most Timmy parts can be fit on the NME, and if they don't fit it'll only take some fairly easy milling to fix it. If you can't find another board you're pretty much SOL, but the Universal T-Baord should do the job just fine. Also the boards from the FEP Quest, and the Alien markers that use the WAS boards will be able to be used as well. Not offended at all, just giving some more advice.

Im not trying to start an argument here, im sure NME's are great guns if you can keep them up and running. But the idea that you should buy 2 NME's just so you can keep 1 running seems utterly INSANE.
Back in 2005, i wouldve been the first person to tell you that i wanted one of these. but the fact of the matter is, there wasn't a good reason to get one of these then and there isn't a good reason to get one of these now. at least not as a primary gun.

Maybe, just maybe, you could have made a solid case to pick an NME over a timmy back in 2005-2006... but now there is simply no reason why you shouldn't just get an alias/gen 3 timmy instead.
More parts, still have technical support through BLAST, still options to upgrade, still a huge community, still a wealth of knowledge for diagnosing problems and tuning.

like i said, if you want to get one and add it to your collection, go for it and enjoy it. But if you're spending hard earned money and basing an entire weekend's worth of fun on this gun, then i'd look elsewhere for the time being. again, they aren't bad guns, but at best, they'll shoot just as good as a timmy.
