TM-7 leaks

I am having a problem with a TM-7 at the shop that I work at.
Here is the problem.
I have gas leaking out from where the gas transfer tube (part #36) meets main body (part #33). When I ripped the marker apart I noticed that the flat red seal that sits between them was broken (AKA split apart).
When I was looking up the part in the manual there is no mention of that specific seal.
I have tried a thin o-ring in its place but the marker still leaks out from between the transfer tube and main body when you try to put the tank on and wiggle the reg assembly.
Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

I have sent Paintball Solutions an email regarding the marker to see if I can get any help from them
