I've gone ahead and started a TechPB platoon for BF3, you may find it HERE.

Alright, this is the official BF3 thread for TechPB.

-Relevant conversation in regards to the game

It would seem that EA/DICE has created a new Platoon system that resembles clan support pages for other titles. As this type of system can be extremely helpful for users wishing to connect to other gamers for the purposes of coordination, proper teamwork, and to socialize; I have created us a TechPB platoon that you may find here.

Quite a number of us joined up and played Battlefield Bad Company 2 together, and generally speaking, we did quite well with multiple users popping in and out between games. If you were around when BC2 was big around these parts, you know how many laughs were had during our matches.

To be clear, I made this Platoon with the intent to allow our user-base to connect to like-minded gamers, and NOT to be a hardcore gaming clan. Tempers can flare while you play intense and competitive shooters, but we will not allow users to turn this into a shit show of elitist K/D cock waving contests. We can play hard, but many of us also like to play video-games socially, please allow for both viewpoints.

Although the Platoon system can organize this type of application more than a simple thread, I will included a simple database of usernames and online aliases for users here to quickly shoot out friend requests and messages to each other. Please, and let me stress PLEASE included your forum username in any friend request so members know where you are coming from, and not just punk you off as another butt-hurt troll.

We will be using the tried and true 3 digit TPB motif as our clan-tag/indicator.

Ya, it's a little confusing trying to remember which reply went with which BF3 thread.

There was 6 BF3 threads ranging from complaints, help, and general discussion. I figured it would be easier to unify the topic into a single thread. We had quite the discussion going for BC2 at one point, and I want to continue that onto the next game once everyone abandons BC2.

Yeah, it says you can't join this platoon with your soldier!?!?

You know what I think it is... you may need to have an active soldier on the given platform. It appears you can have a main elsewhere, but you do need to have something on the primary platform, which in this case in the 360.

For now, try becoming a fan, and let me see if I can work this out.

I'll update the list shortly. Unfortunately it looks like you can only join the platoon when you have an active soldier on the 360 as it piggybacked off my main account. Although it's not a big deal as we still have our home here, if anyone feels the need to make a PS3 or PC chapter as well, that would be entirely possible. That is, unless you don't wanna jump platforms.

I was hoping that it would recognize multiple platforms and just group users accordingly, I guess I was wrong.
