Noticed at a internet shop around my country that they have a very old VM-68 for sale.

Was thinking of picking it up, since its only 30 Euros. (around 40 dollars). I figured I could take it apart, polish it up and paint it, give it a wooden handle upgrade etc. Opinions?

Looks pretty bad. If it's in full working order, I would go for it. Thos things are a tank.

yeah it looks bad but thats about it really. I am sure if I polish the insides and make it smoother, change the o-rings and so on, I should get it in top condition again.

I decided I am gonne buy it and rewire the gas line so the bottle can be on the hand grip and give it a custom body at some point. :) Nice little project for me I guess :)
