I have been playing paintball for awhile now and never owned a pump gun, would anyone suggest one for cheap?

find some used sniper. They can be had for like $100 bucks, that way if you don't like pump you haven't wasted much money.

I bought a used trilogy and turning it into a pump. So far bought a barrel that I will use with my electro also, a pump kit and an Asa for now. Spent a good $180 on everything.

I've always used a electric gun so I thought it'd be a good chance to try one out

I shouldn't say i wouldn't use a electro again. But if someone laid a ego or my phantom on a table. i would pick my phantom.

Get a trilogy. Shouldn't be too hard to find one already pumped, or pumping one yourself is easy. Other than playing pistol it is the most fun i have had playing paintball since i first started. And with how cheap trilogies are, there is really no way to go wrong.

Pumps are worse in most ways. That's the reason we use them. Its a mechanical disadvantage. If you want a pump thinking its an advantage in most ways, you're barking up the wrong tree. That being said, snipers from the BST are the most common entry gun to pump play.

Well of course pumps are fun to play with but don't expect them to out-perform a high-end semi. As much as I love my pumps I not that naive to believe my empire sniper is better than my opponent's ego11. My reccomendation for a first pump is a used or new azodin kaos. I have one and its just a great marker to shoot on the recball field.
