I was thinking either the proton, mini, pmr, or G5 I don't want an extcy because I already have an envy.

I love my mini. It fits my hands, feels great, and I dont mind the trigger. There are going to be haters out there, but thats because it depends on how it feels for you. I dont know much about the proton or g5, but my dad has a PMR and he likes it. If you can, try them out and walk the trigger at a proshop. That should be the deciding factor at this point for you.

Just wait. The envy isnt too far from the extcy, which is the best under 300 dollar gun. At most you could buy an on off asa, but other than that, save it all for a nice midend, like an axe.

How about an etha or a drone? An axe might be alright.

Just try to make it until you can get a decent mid-end gun OR an older high end like an ego 7/8 geo or dm

I was looking for something that is simple, smooth and somewhat efficient. From what people say egos aren't very smooth. ;) I might be able to spend up to $400 if there is anything that might be in that range as well.

No they arent that smooth. Uncle goes to the field with me every weekend and he owns an etek 3, but he prefers the enmey, so I get to use it. I honestly prefer my extcy over it. The only good thing is I can look like a mainstream pro with a gun thats an etek, which resembles egos, which to noobs egos=godmodeskillzor..

Yeah, I knew egos weren't smooth. The envy/extcy is actually pretty smooth.
