Hey guys, I'm looking into starting pump play, but having never played any pump before I need some help deciding what I should get. Like the title says I'm trying to decide between a ccm'd 05 prostock sniper 2 or an ANS X5. They both are going for about the same price however the prostock sniper would come without a barrel. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Both are nice pumps, but the ccm'd prostock will have a nicer/smoother pump stroke then the X5. The X5 uses a ansgear pump kit which are pretty sloppy and not that great.

Yeah I honestly don't understand why they put the price so high on the x5 for what you actually get.

If you don't have any small bore barrels or any "pump" stuff, check out the empire sniper. It comes with a barrel kit, dual detents, and a clamping feedneck so you can use stuff you already have.

I personally use the Pink/Black Empire sniper pump. It is great, and truthfully the difference in pump stroke b/w a ccm and the empire sniper is negligible. The only thing I can say about the empire sniper is that the clamp actually scrathes/rubs against the neck which leads to wear... Overall great gun, would highly recommend it over the X5 pump, which, as others have said, is overpriced for what you get.
