I drive a '96 Audi A4 Quattro with a 2,6L V6 Engine. Bought that sucker today. It's nothing short of amazing.

A V4? O.o
Like a straight 4?

It's still around 1 liter and under per metric mile so it's not that bad. Around the same as my Dad's Scirocco.

1 liter of gas per mile is crappy, even for a big v8 truck. You should be getting at least 5 miles per liter out of a v6 car.

Most v4s are straight 4s I believe. I meant to just say a 4 cylinder. They can manage like 30+ miles per gallon, especially if they are a stick shift.

there are no "v4's" (that i have ever seen anyway). the V refers to the shape in which the cylinders are arranged. they are in the shape of a V. inline means all of the cylinders are in 1 row. so an inline 6 is NOT a V6
There are 2 kinds of people in this world. Those who think they can and those who think they can't. both of them are right.

^^^Exactly. The letter in front of the number of cylinders indicates the orientation of the cylinders, the most common ones being V (V8, V10), Inline (I4, I6,) Flat or Boxer engines, and W engines (W12, W16,). And I don't believe anybody makes a V4 engine because it's so much easier to just put them flat or inline.

Actually there are a few V4 engines all of witch I know are in Motorcycles though (few examples are Yamaha V Max, Honda VFR, Honda ST1300, and Aprilla RSV4). But it is true that no car I am aware of is equipped with anything but a inline or boxer 4 cyl engine.

But anyways I drive a 2012 Toyota Tacoma SR5 access cab 4x4. 2.7L 4cyl and 5 speed stick. Good day to day driver very capable of the light off reading I enjoy and works great for hauling all I need it for.

And my toy is a 2010 Honda CBF600sa. It's just a great do it all kind of bike. I can put on the hard luggage and tour cross country on it (I did in 2011 total of 11,000kms in three weeks). I use it as a efficient commuter in the spring summer and fall and I hope to start doing track days this summer with it. Absolutely love the scream of this engine as it rolls past 11000rpm on its way to the 12000rpm redline. It may not be the fastest bike out but it still gets me up to 100kph in under 5 sec and up to over 230kph no problems witch is far more than i will ever need. But more than anything I love the fact that its just so good at everything.
