Im going to get this out of the way now. I am not some kind of super star, I dont play tournaments and for the most part I play walk on Rec Ball like twice a month if im lucky.

What ive been noticing recently however is that sometimes I go completely god mode and seem to hit everyone and everything wiping the floor with people who are supposedly much better than me and have a lot more experience. Then the next week I am getting lanned of break by a 12 year old with a Mini.

Take yesterday for example I decided it would be fun to play snake I was consistently taking snake of break on even teams of 6v6 open games. I would get into snake and run house I was getting 2-3 kills a game. Granted I had quite a bit of help from some of my buddies in terms of calling out positions and holding down the tape for me. This is after barely never playing snake before. I am a BIG guy lol




Now what I dont understand is how I can go from having days like this to having days where it seems like everyone has my number. How can I account for this inconsistency? Is paintball just that much about luck? Or is there a some other way for how my good fortune and skill with a marker seems to come and go.

Now my last question for you is, do you always play at a consistent level? Or do you fluctuate.

I fluctuate all the time. Last time I went, I was playing 5v5 air ball, and I would jump in snake and run the game all day, including a game where I single handedly mowed the whole team. But the day before that, I couldn't get a G to save my life. It's all about who is playing I think.

well for me it all depends on how im feeling that dayif im feeling great hell i can take out most of a team but on my bad days i just play as bad as a monkey with a paintball gun

For me it depends on the people i am playing with and against. I also do better earlier in the day. FOr instance yesterday, in my first games, i would get 2-3 kills but then at the end of the day, i would get at most 1 or possibly 2.

I think those games yesterday were like 8v8 and it was hella fun to play, and your moves shocked everyone!!!! Yesterday he did like 5 succesful run throughs and his last one he and his friend got 7 people including me... I think

I can agree with the who you are playing with and against deal, Although I have had days where I practiced with division 2 Teams and did extremely well. Communication was flawless, everyone knew their "job" and I "random walk on baller" showed up and hung in with the big boys. Then there are days like I said im getting mowed by little 12 Year old with a Mini??? I dont get how that can happen to me haha.

I can also agree with how you feel that particular day, Yesterday I was fresh had a whole case of paint and was ready to rock and roll. Kinda just went out with the attitude to have fun and ended up leaving with a crazy kill count. I think it ended up being about 20 in about 4 hours of play.

exactly i usually buy like a quarter of a case and im not to excited but the other day i bought a case and i got so many G's that i felt like a paintball god

That last run through lol I had half a hopper of paint, me and Dan Leroy Jenkinsed it and ran down D Side bunkered at least 4 people lol. And I must say, diving over 50 snake off break that was epic lol.

@BDeck I do think a lot of it has to do with how much paint you can spit out at people. If you are able to start dumping hoppers in X Ball it tends to open up the field for you to make some moves.

exactly if you have to play pump because your forced to instead of throwing down paint it kinda stinks (just for me i know how many of you guys love pump) especially when everyone else is shooting 15 psp

Yeah,for me it all depends on how I feel that day.If I feel like getting serious,I can rack up some kills.But if I feel like having fun and dicking around,I won't get as many kills.Sometimes,it will be the other way around,and your like"How the fuck did I just take out half the other electro-weilding team with a pump?"

I play bad when my field only has field grade paint and when I have to start the day with the renters before the intermediates show up.

I mostly play outlaw ball with my friends from school. Usually I'll get 1 or 2 hits a match (normally 10 v 10) even if I'm using crappy paint. Last year I bought a 1000 rd case of Nelson paint. White box green label, orange shell with orange fill, the stuff shot like a laser. I averaged 6 outs a match and only got out once the whole day, and on top of that I only used about a bag of paint. I never was able to find the same brand of paint at the store again and I have never played so well as that day since. It's all in the paint.

Well it depends. For me its about constantly changing how I play to keep other players from finding a pattern. The problems your having is your being to consistent it sounds like.
