Beanie. Ever since I wore one to the field once, I can't stop.

Headband + beanie = twice the bounces and twice the awesome.

I really hate getting bounces from fucking rec paint on the head. I got domed three games in a row one time. one of them hit hard enough I wanted to walk off the field.

I get shot in the head a ton. So years ago I got a Flex 8 full helmet.

It gives you enough protection that you rarely get your bell rung. (but, it has happened, EVEN with a full helmet).

I always recommend kids under the age of 15 should wear a full helmet when playing.

Sandana, then a baseball cap on backwards would work.

I wore this out once, and got shot point blank on the top of the head from like 6 feet away and he shot the cap off... had this welt on the corner of my forehead and had to go to work like that... and i work in a hotel, where i meet guests.... =,= got some stares and questions that day...

Best options that you can play with at any field. I got bunkered once, about a foot and a half away right in the head, wearing my Hundredth Monkey turtle cap, and I felt it, but it wasn't that bad. Something like that should have given me quite the welt, but later that day, I looked in the mirror, and it was only slightly red where I took the hit. Kind of almost felt like a zit was forming there, but never did.

this is another option for your head

As awesome as those are, and I use them, they aren't legal at alot of tournaments, and even some fields will say that they are too much like a ghilie, so if you get hit in the head at all, you would be automatically be out. Plus they stick out a bit, so something that might come close, but not hit, will suddenly be a hit by a reg.

If your playing rec-ball, id wear just a beanie or a headband when it gets hotter. For tournaments and practices, or just really competitive play, I wear a headband under a beanie. I don't like wearing both for rec-ball just because it does cause extra-bounces, and I kinda feel like an ass getting extra bounces in rec-ball.

Fullclip headband/sandana. They have fuckin' suede backing with a gel hex inside the headband so you get huge padding with amazing breathability.

I started wearing a stocking cap. Works well, but I'll have to find an alternative when the weather starts to warm up.
