cover it with a towel and start tapping around where it screws together with another barrel or a pipe of some sort. then try to unscrew it again.

a strap wrench is differnt then a wrench in it usues a rubber or nylon strap to grip the object rather then metal teeth.

You mean putting a towel around it and trying to unscrew it? Tried that, didn't work

I've had that problem....

You can pick up a set of strap wrenches for under $10.

So I don't really understand what you want me to do here... Cover the entire barrel with a towel and start tapping where the two barrels meet with something and that will get it to unscrew?

1: take your barrel that is stuck and wrap it in a towel
2: take another barrel or a pipe or something of that nature and start wacking your other barrel where the two halves screw together (not that hard but with a decent amount of force)
3: try and unscrew it again, if it doesn't work. try again!
