its the first ego ever and its 6-7 year ago it came out.

Agreed. I only have 1 gun that's newer than the 05 ego and I dont consider any of them old school. My pre-dye buzzard isn't old school (but close), my 1998 APPL Commemorative sniper is not old school, traccer is not old school, my r/t mag is not old school because it has a ule body (kind of old school I guess), tippmann and trracer are not old school. Its not even old school for an electro, pre2k3ish is old school for an electro, before the world of paintball discovered the cnc machine.

I would say an ego5 is pretty old school for what it is.
same for a dm4 or lcd angel

the ego 5 is like the older of the new, lol

i thought PE made there own cocker first, not just the upgrade kit. i could be wrong. but it is a "old school" ego.

eclipse cockers, while very nice, are not a PE original. they are milled off WGP blanks, look on any PE cocker and you will see a WGP W with the serial number. the DC2 is nothing more then a super milled, and super nice, 05 prostock.... (its teh body black used to mill teh DC bodies)

the 05 ego can be considered an old school ego, but in the grand scheme of things, its not an old school gun...

Hi all, I paid in 05 the full asking price £1250 and although I`ve have loads of Gat`s since I still have and play with the 05 EGO ,It`s also proved to be the most reliable Gat I`ve ever had and only once have had to change all the "O" rings. Now If you want to talk about what was the most expensive gun then lets talk about what I bought at the same time and that was an ANGEL G7 as It was 400 more, Boy did they see me coming ? haven`t used the Angel G7 for 4 x years, I`m so proud to own this I`ve tucked it away in a case and every now and then get It out , look at It, handle It, then put It back in the case, It`s a beauty

Well lets put it this way. Can the Ego 05 still be considered a tournament level gun? Des it match up to 2011 guns that are $300 or higher? Is it's technology practical? Overall, is it a good shooter? Maybe when we answer those questions we can determine if it is old school or not. I want to trade my Xbox 360 for one should I?

but none of those questions should have any determination as to if its old school or not. the e mga is old school and can still match up to all of these questions.
