It seems that shocktech just isn't as popular as it used to be. Are they just going out of business?

I'd guess to say yes they're dying some, but maybe i'm wrong. They don't seem to have the popularity they did when the autococker was king.

since the more or less dying of the autococker, shocktech is not a very big name anymore. no one these days knows the danny loves and whatnot of the world.

agreed. I really hope they don't die off though, like KAPP. I really like shocktech products and still enjoy hunting them down for my snipers.

Mainstream custom died with the cocker's popularity. you still have some true custom work out there, but the factory assembly line private label guns killed the mainstream. BBT/shocktech made its name on the quality of cockers Love, Davis and others turned out. now, what used to take a decent airsmith (shop or just a guy who really knew what he was doing), a few hours and a very good knowledge of trigger setups to accomplish well (and trust me, a lot of people claimed to be able to do awsome trigger jobs. most failed); comes from a factory on a circuit board. theres no skill or artistry in setting up electro triggers and so the mythos died. Shocktech tried to compete by just making parts and slapping them on the latest pl, but the market just isn't there anymore as paintball consolidates into very niche markets or very large companies.
