Hows and etha for a beginner

I'm trying to start getting into tournament play and have never played "tournaments" before. I'm probably getting an etha and wanted to know if it would be a decent gun for lower level tournaments.

Hell, the Etha would be a decent gun for any kind of paintball.

Yeah, you will like the Etha, it's a solid gun for the price.

The Etha is a very solid marker. The fact that it's on sale right now for $350 makes it that much more of a sweeter buy.

The Etha is a decent marker but look into an Axe as well. I feel it is the better marker for $50 more (if you are buying used or new).
Any marker that can shoot 12.5 psp with a tourney lock on it is a good marker for tourneys you just need a marker that suits your needs.

As kingJurzy said, most markers that shoot 12.5bps are fine. It is mostly about what feels comfortable to you and how you intend to use the marker.

I would recommend the etha. It is made by planet eclipse so you know the thing will work for a long time and if you have a problem Planet Eclipse has great customer service!

Make sure you shoot one before you buy it. It has a very odd shot quality that bothered me a bit. (Jumpy, with a weird ping noise) Otherwise, the thing feels great in the hands and is super durable.

If you get an Etha, make sure it has the springless drivetrain. They came out with it for a reason. The spring wears out pretty quickly, tons of people at my field had issues with it going out in less than 10 cases.
