i really dont know where else to put this so if the thread is moved my bad. but does anyone here play airbow? i laughed so hard when i watched some fellas in the forest playing it, its where u have a bow and you shot a single shot like an arrow. i mean this must be harder then pump because u have to hold the rope back to fire so i was just wondering if anyone plays this or has played it because it looks really cool.

Yeah the pull is 50lbs to 80lbs that's pretty hard I don't know if anyone has every shot a bow but a 80lbs pull is tough for a grown man unless you do it alot.

They look pretty cool I was thinking about getting one, but the price is a little high for something that I would only use once in a while.

its way to expensive... and they are so inconvienient. It'd be too hard to tuck in and snap shoot

yea i saw they run for about 400 dollars and i was thinkin that was alittle high priced but wouldnt the pullies on the bow make it easier to pull it back? i have a bow and it has that so pulling the string back is minium effort but maxium results.

I'm a big archery guy and I think they are cool, but I wouldn't buy one unless a group of people were already playing locally with them.

80 isnt tough for a grown man
my older brother is tiny and the pull on his bow is like 75
but the price for those is crazy, i wouldnt get one

A plunger is attached to the string in place of an arrow, plunger moves down a cylinder, forces air from the cylinder down a hose to the barrel, air pushes paintball out the barrel. That is the rough idea, I'm sure that there are all kinds of valves and stuff to adjust flow and velocity.

Actually that's pretty much it. Its an oddball spring piston design. I'm pretty sure the only thing that controls the velocity is the size of the cylinder and the speed of the string moving forward. Velocity is increased by adjusting the bow itself.

I would totally play with one of these, if for nothing else but the "rambo" effect lol. 80 lbs isn't too bad, I used to hunt with one set close to 100. I wish I had the cash to burn to get one of these.

80 is alot of weight to pull and if your in a paintball match and your trying to get alot of shots off then that would be tough if you had to pull 75-80 pounds every few seconds to do so

A 100pound pull is amazing you must be frigging huge dude if you could do that, even Howard Hill only used a 100 pound bow in his prime!

80lb is a lot if you want to play paintball... my compound is set at 70lb and it would get impossible to be pulling even that back many times in the amount of time a paintball game lasts.

I think they look alright but I would only use it in scenarios and I would have to be somewhere really high or out of enemy sight.
