Since I am REALLY bored and would like to help out paintball teams I am offering to do a site redesign and coding of the site.

I will only do this under a few conditions:

1. You already have a website (Freewebs is fine)
2. You have your own domain*
3. You have your own hosting**

*You can register a domain at http://www.1stindomains.com
**You can get a free hosting account at http://www.110mb.com or http://www.000webhost.com
- You will have to have a domain and hosting in order for me to do the website for you.

Once you meet those conditions, only then will I work on re-doing your website for your team.

Since my service is free, there will be limitations as to what you can receive.

What you can get:
Template/Layout- Layout 1 Layout 2 (More templates to be added)
Design/Graphics- I create the banner/ logo for the site
Extra- Can install forum, or other free scripts.
How to- A simple how to update your site guide as well as my personal contact information in this file.

What I need from you:
Content of what will be on each page
All images that will be used on the site
All videos that will be used on the site
Color theme- Keep it to a maximum of 4 colors
Layout choice
Sponsorship banners
Over all goal for the site

Benefits of Having a website:
There are many benefits to having a website...
1. Everyone with an internet connection will be able to view and read about your team.

-Roster
-Etc
2. Potential sponsors will get a feeling you mean business
3. Your sponsors will have a highly viewed spot on your website.
4. It is free! Besides the initial investment of ~$10 you will have a clean professional looking website.


I will only work on ONE site at a time. I will start and finish a website before I begin a new one. I do not have a time frame of when they will be completed as I am a college student. A bulk of the work will be done over my weekends. I am doing this so I build up a portfolio.

I have updated the templates a bit more, so you have a better idea. Obviously I did not go all out in coding...

If you think you can handle setting up the website yourself, I would be more than happy to fully develop the template so all you have to do is edit what I tell you or of course you can edit it all yourself.

I am surprised no one is taking advantage of this considering my paid work I start $100+ for a 3 page website. You will get a full 100% of my energy into your website, the only thing you are limited to are the templates, which I am working on making more if you have any suggestions.

Nicholai: Thanks for letting me know of another hosting place, I only mentioned the one because I have used them WAY back in the day and they were very helpful to me when I first got into coding and designing websites. I will add it to the list above.

That's cool I had no idea so many companies are starting to do free hosting. I think I will sign up for an account with the one you mentioned and try it out, do they offer a referral program, if so do you have a specific link I would need to go through to be "referred" by you? Thanks!

Nicholai: I have my own paid hosting since I own multiple domains and the traffic I receive will not make the free hosting companies happy.

There are TONS of free hosting websites but many are ad supported which will annoy you as the website owner and the visitors. They are generally obtrusive ads, which mean they either pop up or they get displayed across your website.

There is one good thing though and that is many browsers have an ad block plugin, I know I use it for the sites I do not want to be looking at ads for. So generally you will not see the ads.

Yeah I meant free hosting without ads. I've known about the ad crap hosting for a while now. I just thought you might have an account on 110mb.com and they had a referral program. The one I mentioned 000webhost has a referral program where you get $5 for each user you refer to their free hosting, so I thought you might have something else setup for 110mb.com since I was going to sign up and try it out anyway. I'm finding that 000webhost doesn't support all the php modules that I need for one of my websites so i was going to try out the 110mb. I just figured since you posted about it you had tried it and might have a referal thing setup. Thanks for the info.

I will not be doing any sites until I am on my winter break at school. I have too many papers to write and finals to study for, school comes before everything.

As a guy that runs spiders for a living (currently scanning ~500 retailer websites) by far most of even the ad free hosting is crap (and a good portion of the paid hosting is crap too). I have no idea why retailers use them. I find them to be very unstable and have considerable network delays. I'm sorry, I have millions of pages to scan per day, I can't wait 30 SECONDS to get a response from your server! Sorry, a bit of a pet peeve for me.

For the small loads that team websites have, they may be adequate, but hosting is pretty much like anything else... you get what you pay for. I would say that of all the services we use (we have tons of servers distributed over several hosting services) network solutions, and even GoDaddy seem to be a pretty good bang for the buck, for something that can't go down (like my main server) rackspace has been the closest to bombproof that we've found... but I've still managed to crash it more then once .
