I'm just curious what everyone's personal opinion is towards their favorite lense for shooting paintball. An explanation would be nice but not necessary! Thanks!

A lens I tried earlier this year.
A 100-300 f/4 Sigma lens. That thing rocked.

Nice! I shot a 55-200 Sigma and loved it.

I'm probably buying a 70-200 f/2.8 very soon.
I'm going for a Tamron instead of a Nikon one. It costs around 1/3 of the Nikon and has a macro feature.

Tamaron

Is that the one you are talking about? If so, looks awesome!

I really want to pick up a 18-105 Nikon lense. Things are absolutely awesome.

I'm not into lenses who doesn't have a fixed aperture anymore.

I always had best luck with the Sigma 25-200 on my D50 that I used to have. Wish I still had that camera..

Why's that? Just more range?

2.8 is probably the perfect aperture, the depth of field is beautiful, and it takes in a fuck load of light so you can keep your ISO down and still get mad shutter speeds.
It being fixed does so you can shoot in M without the camera under or overexposure upon zoom.

I shoot a Nikon 55-200 so I understand the 70-200 for you.

So according to the mail service I'll have my Tamron SP AF 70-200mm f/2.8 DI LD (IF) MACRO lens the 30th this month.

Can't wait to get it, which will probably be closer to the 5th next month. Posted Image

I actually got it today(29th) for some reason.
Love it so far, but as Jalen told me in another thread the focus isn't the fastest(still fast enough) and it's loud as heck.
Other than that, both thumbs up!

Noise isn't a big problem in photography for the most part, but at least the focus is fast enough! Sounds great man!

I ordered a Nikon Wireless Remote Control yesterday and just ordered an Adorama studio lighting box. Going to be some fun pictures coming up!

My most favorite? On airball a 28-300 F4. I tend to use my 70-300 F4 a lot though as it has IS. If I'm shooting in the woods the 70-200 F2.8 L is my choice. Shooting inside the castle or other buildings I use my 24-70 2.8 L. Occasionally I'll use my 17-85 F4 if I want to get some wide angles or get right up by the bunker and get a close up. (More for woodsball in the closeups.) A lot of it really depends on the amount of available light.
