so i have had my Pinokio for about three months now and i always feel like it is going to crack. my local field tech told me to get a dura coat from pinokio for more durability. BUT BUT BUT sadly Pinokio hasn't had a painter for over 5 months, and i doubt they are going to find one soon. so my question is does anyone know where i can get a dura coat on my Pinokio? all i wanted was plain black. please comment with any info you may find helpful to me!!

I'm assuming it would work

OP: Be warned, it will NOT be a smooth finish, it will be slightly rough. And may I ask why you care so much, Pinokio can replace the shell fairly cheap.

I'm a finisher by trade, I'll tell you DuraCote is one of several brand names that are all the same thing - an isocyanate catalyzed polyurethane.

Keeping it simple~
Yes, the stuff is strong as any coating can be, and it can be applied by anyone who reads the directions for mixing three liquids together.

You also might want to do something about the nose cone, if you want to be able to switch between them.

No they can't, to do that they have to produce more shells. Which they are not doing anymore....

You can use either that or you can get Plasti-dip from just about any Lowes or Home Depot. People use it to coat rims and various other things and can be quite durable and good-looking if you do it right.

If I remember correctly, you used to be able to buy a replacement shell.

Yes, that was before they stopped making them. I tried a month ago, and they have no known date of when they are making more. Needless to say I am using a Z2 now.
