So I'm trying to weigh out the pros and cons of each before a team meeting next week, the team is looking at everyone shooting Axes (initially not my favorite idea) I'm trying to weigh out the pros and cons of owning/using an Axe over a Victory.

Some of the guys are using the excuse that XSV and Infamous are doing well with Axes, but no pro team is shooting a stock Axe so I can't really look at that as a valid argument, also we have no idea how many spare Axes they have in the pits for when one craps out.
My personal experience with the Axe is limited, and can only go by what I've seen on the field. I've seen Axes go down mid game, there was also a local player who had boards go dead in his Axe twice this summer due to rain. My upside to using an Axe is that I can play my hardest and wont really give a shit if I beat the piss out of an Axe. Whereas I can admit I would be a bit disappointed if I took a dive and smashed my V2 off a rock or something.

Now since I've owned a Victory I've really started to enjoy it, I love the efficiency, and feel in my hands. The shot quality is fantastic on the thing. My only concern is that when a Vic goes down it tends to be harder to fix. I will admit I am a bit nervous about my Vic going down mid game and being screwed, the local players have really been harping on me for buying a BL gun because they claim they work great until they shit the bed, then they are toast.

I kind of have to form an opinion by next Tuesday wen the team decides, either sell the Vic and get an Axe with the rest, or stick with my V2.

I should note that there are already other players who plan on not buying an Axe, so I wont be alone if I chose not to.

The Victory does tend to work pretty well until it shits the bed. I personally wouldn't bother with it if you need a gun that works 24/7, its a nice gun, but the performance difference isn't really worth the difference in potential headaches. You cant just throw it in a gearbag at the end of the day and forget it. But you should probably see what everyone likes before you go for one or the other.

I'm not the kind of person to throw my gun in a bag and hope it works next weekend. I take my gear home and I clean it as soon as I'm done playing. Which is why I'm leaning towards the Vic at the moment. Like I said above, the only thing that has me even considering the Axe is that I won't give a shit if I beat it to pieces this season.

Either way it comes down to me, I would be much more willing had I not seen so many Axes go down this past summer.
