Im looking for a new gun. I shoot more semi-auto than ramping. So which is the better deal?

the better deal would be the drone. is it the better gun? not necessarily...
when you get an axe, you're probably going to want to factor in the cost of a new bolt and barrel as thats become standard procedure for many axe owners.

the drone comes out of the box with very high quality parts, that would be considered upgrades on most other guns.(match stick barrel, gladiator regulator, macdev on.off, etc.)

The Axe really doesn't need a new barrel.... and the boss bolt ($40....) is the best bolt possibly out there...
You gas up the marker, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field... It doesn't matter that you failed a test, that your girlfriend broke up with you last nite, all that matters is your in your world next 2 hours. Live it. Love it. Paintball <3

i didn't say it needed a new barrel. just that most people get a new one.
lets face it... a 12" barrel is pretty much a throwaway barrel.

i went through the same decision between axe, drone, and etek 4. I ended up gettingg the drone because it is less common, good ergos, and smooth.

It is short, I like pointing my thing around. I don't know what I would do if mine was short.

i believe longer barrels are better for pushing aside bunkers. plus two piece barrels look cooler IMO.

no offense to sticktodrum, but thats the stupidest video i've ever seen. Obviously, the barrel is "usable". if you put it on a gun, paint will fly out of it. no shit.
the problem is that a 14" barrel has become the industry's most common and most preferred barrel length. Why include anything else?

the majority of players will get the barrel and immediately replace it with a 14" barrel that they are comfortable with. Could i go out there with a 12" barrel and get kills? yes. Will i be wishing i had a 14" barrel the entire time? you best your ass.
