because Dye is the "cool kid" brand that kids that know little about paintball get. Its overpriced, and most of the time its all the same stuff. It would be like those people that have an imac, macbook, iphone 5, ipod, apple tv, and all they use are apple earpods.

I disagree on a couple of your points but I can understand where you're coming from.

But why is matching your clothes frowned upon as well?

Generally It will make you look like a dork. But it's all personal preference, Personally I'd say get some dye c13 pants and then a custom jersey.

I've been playing for nearly three years now, which might not be as much as other people, but I get Dye gear, because I want to, not because it's the first thing I see. I have really high regards for PE and Empire, so it's nothing about being a brand whore.

I've have numerous experiences with customer service, and imo Dye has some of the best CS I've EVER talked to, which is what gears me towards their products, because they stand behind their products.
I'll admit though, this yearly release shit is stupid though, there's no difference between DM12/DM13, and other gear, but hey, what are you gonna do? Just don't buy it lol.
