So I have a 2011 Proto Rail and I have been having some problems. It started when I went to the feild a few months ago. I went to chrono the gun and it wouldnt shoot. I raised the velocity and it worked fine so I thought I overlubed it. I had to take a break from playing becuase of my high school sports season. Then last Friday I finally got back to the feild and te gun wouldnt shoot again so I tried to raise the velocity but that didn't do anything. After playing around the bolt didn't look like it was coming all the way forward to the ball. I replaced all the orings and relubed and that didn't do anything so I packed up and went home. Today I took the grip off, aired it up and tried to shoot it and air was coming from the battery side. I took the gun apart and aired it up again and found it was coming out of the bottom of the solanoid. It is not just a small leak its alot of air coming out. Is my solanoid broke or do I have another problem ? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Probably a bad solenoid. Call up Dye/Proto, and they should be able to help.

How would a dead battery cuase this the only time this happenes is when I pull the trigger the air comes out of the solanoid instead of the bolt?

Solenoids are powered by the battery, and if the battery is dead, it won't close the solenoid.

Solenoids are powered by the battery, and if the battery is dead, it won't close the solenoid.

Your battery may have enough power to monetarily open the noid but not enough to close it
Dye boards drain batteries even when it's off
