Nationwide, Woodsball and Scenario is much much more common than speedball. Everyone starts out in the woods and most fields have a really hard time staying afloat unless they cater to the woodsball players.

Woodsball players are willing to pay more for paint, are willing to spend more on gear, and they are extremely common because when most people think paintball, they think woodsball. so thats exactly where they go when they want to play for the 1st time.

Forums like these aren't indicitive of what players play more. most guys here probably play speedball. Most people who play in the woods. especially those who aren't into scenario play, dont really have a reason to hop on a forum and talk about it.

On your first point. I wonder what a national Paintball Player Poll would really show?

It does not seem possible that speeballers are not spending more, considering the cost of their guns and equipment. I thought tournament paint was the most expensive?.

trust me, there are more woods ballers. Like i said, taking a sampling from this forum isn't indicative of anything.
Also consider the ridiculous number of outlaw ballers out there who just have a field in their backyard. im 100% sure that tippmann is selling more guns a year than any other manufacturer nationwide.

I think your logic concering Net Chatter being biased towards Speedball, makes a lot of sense. I think a poll not NET based would most likely prove that.

I think it is more expensive to equip and play speedball though.

I have a woodsball field, two recball/speedball fields, a rec/woodsball field, all within driving distance. Most fields diversify so they can cater to more people. I play a mix of both, really depends on what mood I am in

Protip. Buy a shovel. Dig and Pile REPEAT until desired effect is achieved. Builds upper body and character. Bitches love upper body and character.
