I've had my tank sitting on my gun for no particular reason for a while now. I tried to get it of and when i did the part in the middle started unscrewing itself. When it was turning it had some sort of scraping noise. And now when i shake the tank. it sounds like something is loose in there.

Will upload pictures or video if neccerary.

Edit: It's an Empire 68/4500 with an Pure Energy reg.

If the tank is empty the rattle or noise is the fill nipple and will go away when you fill it.

Make sure you can get th e bonnet all the way back on before you use it and the threads on the body are not damaged or stripped.

yes, the tank is empty. I removed the bonnet and the screws had scratched the reg up a little bit.

The threads look good so you can assemble it and use it. Lube the bonnet threads that go into the Asa, that will help in the future.

It's hard to see but if it's a reactorIII then know they were discontinued because the bonnets were doing that. (Unscrewing)

Ive had it happen from time to time and its no big deal however with the depth and severity of those scratches I would suggest looking at a new reg.
