I saw this other forum where after 60 days from the last post in the topic they lock up the topic and you're not allowed to post in it anymore.
I see this as a way of preventing new members (or old) of "necroing" old topics. Is there a problem to this suggestion or no?
Also if this is in the wrong section move or delete to your will.

Personally I'm thinking 60 is too long, but then again techpb doesn't have the traffic to keep a thread alive unless its a really hot topic for more than 30 days. There definitely should be a cut off when a thread is locked. Pbnation has no such a lock and I've personally seen someone start their argument in a flame war that ceased 2 years before his post.

We do have a lock. The BST is 30 days automatically if inactive.

But I'm talking about regular threads, because I saw a couple necroed threads in the News and Photos section.
Give me gunz for my gunz.

In something like news and photos? Sure ## day lock.
In equipment advice or some other section that is question heavy I'd vote no, unless the forum really wants more threads that ask the exact same question.
