So I picked up a Dye i4 mask recently. All I've ever used since I started playing years ago are V-Force masks, so this is my first dual pane lens/mask. I noticed something with it and I am not sure if it's normal. On the inner lens, the surface has a strange texture or look to it. It almost looks wet, not really smooth, with these tiny bump looking things all over it. It's hard to explain. When I first put the mask on, I can tell it distorts my vision, but I seem to get used to it. Is anyone else's lens like this? Is it normal? It is the clear lens.

All I know is, don't let the lenses get wet ever. Water can sometimes get between the panes and get really annoying until it dries.

The inner lens has a protective film on it as far as I can remember. As above, don't submerge them in water, wiping them with a wet cloth, rain and running the FRONT under a tap is fine, but if you get water in-between the panes they're screwed.

I ran into lens problems with my i4's also. It was a bad finish on the lens, like the coating wasn't sprayed on properly. It left air bubbles and drip runs on my lens. I returned them and got a new lens.

Yeah, like has been said above, they come with a protective film, make sure you pull that off. If you have then you have an actual problem with the lens, but make sure you don't still have the packaging on the product.

That is exactly what it looks like, drips and runs. Thanks. Did you return them to your local shop or have to go through Dye?

I4s come with a protective plastic on the inside of the goggle, try to find the edge and peel it off.

I peeled the plastic off of the inside when I first bought them.
