I'm debating on getting a new pod pack, but the problem is I have locklids. And my current pack has not much padding and I also cut a strip out of each pod holder thing so locklids just fall out. (NXE) so what pack should I buy. I'm either going to do two things,
1. Add foam to my current pack that holds 4 pods. Great for locklids, no padding

2.Buy the dye 09 pack for its padding and risk having locklid problems, or cutting a strip out of each pod holder and risk ruining a 80$ pack.

I want a pack with good padding and locklid capability.

Wouldn't dye packs work fine with locklids? One would think that the company that makes both would be sure their products are compatable with eachother.

I may be reading it wrong but, you are saying locklids just fall out of NXe packs?

Ive never had an issue with this...

But I would suggest a dye pack if you have the cash to spare.

Sell locklids, buy regular pods Posted Image
Well, its a option.

Dye podpack i think it is too much for a single podpack, yeah its quality is amazing but it's like 80$, any 50-60$ NXE/Paintball Assain/Lysnk/HK/PE podpack will do the same and still good quality.
ive never had one single problem with locklids on my 07NXE Podpack too. If you are on a budget, get foam, if not, get another podpack if you are not satisfied with that one

This.
The only pods I've ever had issues with were locklids.

I play about every week, and have owned a Empire, and currently own a Dye and NxE.

First off, the quality seems nice on the Dye...until you use it a lot. It wiggles on your back a ton, falls apart...generally not a nice pack. I've had it since PSP Chicago.

NXE I've had for like 3 years. It's pretty much bulletproof, I actually wear it over the Dye pack now, and you can buy NXE's for like 30 bucks. They don't move on your back and are super comfy. All pods fit, but I'm not sure why you would want lock lids anyways...

Or,you could sell the locklids and get proto alpha pods, which are basically wannabe locklids that are made very well and open much easier.
And as for packs,I say either get an NXE or get a pinokio(which holds,like,3 whole pods)

Then what pack do you guys have in mind? Btw I made it so the locklids fall out of my current pack, because before I did the cutting they were completely stuck in.

Critical Paintball Pack. Buddy of mine uses it with his lock lids, and I can also say it's a great pack because I own one myself.

my critical pack worked with my lock lids pretty well, little tight but once you put them in and out a few times for problems, probably the most comfortable pack ive used . would recomend them to anyone.
