I bought a new ninja tank(48 3000) before Christmas, I used it for the first time a couple weeks ago. Just before leaving I filled it up. With in a week in my closet, the psi went from 3000 to <1000. Do I have to replace the seals in the reg or could there be a bigger problem with it?

Dunk the reg in a bucket of water and see where bubbles are flowing out of, tighten the spot down with a wrench... tada no more leaks.

The leak is between the reg and the tank, how do I put a wrench on it without leaving tool marks?

its leaking between the reg and the tank? how does that even happen? no air should be getting through there at all.

take your tank to a proshop or send it back to the manufacturer. normally a tank leak isn't anything to be worried about, but the fact that its leaking from where 3000psi is stored, troubles me.

Make sure the reg is tightened down, then only fill it with a couple hundred psi and stick it in a cup of water.I really doubt that it is leaking from that area, look very closely. It might be leaking from the bonnet, which is the top piece on the reg.Make sure it is screwed down tight and that the 2 small screws are tightened down all the way.

I put the reg under water and that's where the bubbles were coming from.

If your tank has any air in it,then drain it by either shooting it out or screwing it into an ASA that is not attached to a gun, then call up ninja and tell them about it.Is it visibly damaged?

I took it to my local PB shop, the guy said he "realigned the o-rings". When I got home I put it back in soapy water, and it still leaks. Would replacing the o-rings with new ones help?

Call up Ninja then.
Your guys at the proshop are idiots, no offense. "realinged the o-rings" yeah no obviously the only oring you're gonna get is the top o-ring which is the sealing ring when you plug it in the gun.
Not the tank itself.

I think there is an o-ring on the reg that helps seal it.But yes, that is BS.Just call up ninja and tell them.

Im going with the calling Ninja, the tank could be defective and could also be dangerous. They will most likely send you a new one.

My bro had a 48/3000 tank that had a leak, he got new o-rings and the leak stopped immediately :) Not sure if its the same problem you're having but worth a shot ;)
