Thinking of picking up one or the other for just basic practice shooting and tuning. Just so I know my gun is working and cycling properly. Only reason I ask is I don't know is they are any different from paintballs in regards to the bore size and how your gun shoots. I hear they get dirty really quick too

not really. reball shoot just as well as paintballs.i have come to find that reballs are smaller then paintball thought. the plus to reballs is their reuseable

they do get fairly dirty, but they're cleanable, and yes they do have a different diameter... smaller diameter than average paint but they chrono the same

They don't chrono the same. The bore of the paintball affects the amount of air needed to get it up to 280 FPS.

they do chrono the same. if your having a hard time chronoing it might be because your barrel isnt small enough

I would take the paintballs, although reballs do serve a purpose guns and loaders are picky about them, and the coating on the outside DOES where off after quite a while.
I'd just use cheap paint for testing.

cheap paint still money being spent where reballs are able to be used over and over again

Which is all fine and dandy unless you have a gun that doesn't work normally with reballs. Getting a gun set for reballs and a gun set for paint isnt the same.

A lot of spoolies need to adjust dwell settings in order to prevent jamming,

Not to mention loaders, a lot of loaders will not feed reballs.

I actually shoot a pinokio which is perfect with reballs. And I shoot a vanguard demon so it's a spool. Not sure how reballs shoot through it

Luckily there are many players on here who shoot Demons so they should be able to help you out

But really just run it stock, if you notice jams bump our dwell by a millisecond until the jamming stops.

Just realize that this isn't the dwell you will be running for paint so you will still need to make adjustments, unless you are fine using up more air than you have to. I know with my Geo2 I would run it at about 10-12 during the summer then 14-15 for fall/early winter games. Then I had to bump it all the way to 20 in order to shoot 250 without balls getting jammed for reball in the winter.

The reballs are a better investment because they're reusable.

Just picked up some noname reballs for testing and setting up markers. They ran well out of a .682 barrel. Both the reloader B and vl junior had no jams, but definitely fed slower than the real thing. Make perfect sense for winter indoor testing.
