Is the azodin kaos good? I'm going off of what mike said cuz I only played once with a 98 and it was woodsball. I am looking at it because it's 90 dollars but when I looked around at the reviews, everyone liked it. (I'm also looking at the halo hopper).

of those two I'd get the mini. Although my first choice would be a gog extcy. Great gun for the price. If you want to double your budget check out the empire axe for $500.

The kaos is a great starter marker. It'll do everything you want other than ramping, but hey who needs ramping!? My favorite budget hopper is the vlocity with dynasty upgrade. You can get it on ansgear.com for $44 I believe.

If either of you have anymore questions feel free to pm me..

Ok being my first ever post I suppose there is no other place for it. I have an 09 SLG (currently at DYE getting fixed) and I want to upgrade. I used to play a lot of speedball and I've bumped up to air ball so I want a better marker that can perform better. The refs at the field told me about the Axe and needless to say I'm crazy about it lol. Now, I have 12" stiffi I got for hella cheap and a Z2. So I guess the question is... Is the Axe a good upgrade from what I have or should I take another route? Oh! I also don't want to pass the $500 mark

The axe is amazing. Are you willing to go used?

I show up at a field that I never been to before for some rec-play wearing cargo pants with a t-shirt....carrying a old mech Spyder and two pringle potato chip cans for pods shoved in the pants pockets. The stares are priceless and after the first game or so you get to see the grins from the ref and players who know....priceless.

Not really. At my local shop they can lower the price and throw in a set of events. Thing is I heard a few things about the Etha. Thoughts?

Go with the Axe. It's a proven platform that performs well, and lots of people swear by the gun.

Ok I'll take your word for it.

One more thing I want to know. What exactly sets all guns apart? I mean, what is it that makes the NT cost a bazillion more dollars than a PMR or even a crappy Spyder? Accuracy? Consistency? I sure hope it's not looks lol

It basically comes down to three things.
  • Designed to be cheap or reliable. This refers to whether they were meant to be cheap guns from the start, or whether they were designed to perform without sacrificing cost in manufacturing.
  • Complexity and operation of bolt engine. Simple guns, like the Ion or G3 will be cheaper, because they're simple to make, and are a less complicated gun.
  • Quality. Simply put, some guns are just worth more, because there's a certain level of tolerance built into the whole gun.

With all that said, I really don't think any gun over $500-600 is worth it, because you can get a $500 gun that shoots just as awesome as a $1500 gun. The super expensive guns will typically have more goodies that come with the gun, but that's about it.

Also, just to clear something up, accuracy is independent from paintball guns. You put the same paint in different guns, and shoot it at the same velocity, both guns will have the same accuracy. It all comes down to the paint.

Sounds like the regulator is closed off. Try adjusting it to let air into the gun.

Find the velocity adjustment screw, set the pressure on the guage to 190psi.

You can buy a new tank for less.

http://www.shop4pain...4pe48ci3000.htm

Also if you dont play at a field with a fill station you may want to go with the 68/45 because of the higher capacity.

The 68/45 is going to be $100 more than the 48/30 your friend is offering. The question is, can you justify the extra cost? For me the answer is yes because not only is it a little lighter, but it can hold much more air than the 48/30. Which means im going to be able to play longer than someone that has a 48/30
