So, I'm in a bit of a dilemma here.
As much as I love pump, Sometimes I need that extra firepower to take down fools.

I want to get into mag fed, having a huge hopper and carrying thousands of pods isn't really practical for me, since I like speed and versatility.
Pump allows this versatility, but not the speed I need, I had to change my play style to less aggressive since I can't take people on head-first.
I currently have narrowed it down to two choices.
I could get a mag kit for my current tippmann, but the MK7P is just so much easier to release mags than the MKV or MK5, so I'm saving up for either an X7 Phenom with mag kit or Milsig.

I have a list of pros and cons for me, so you can help me narrow down.

MK7P
Pros:
Easy to assemble
Glorious add on parts, such as tank-in stock or handguards

Cons:
Pricy, since I don't own a Phenom

M17
Pros:
Pre-assembled
All mechanical parts, easy to maintain for me

Cons:
Price
The fact that it hasn't come out yet

MK3 Heat
Pros:
Cheapest out of all of them

Cons:
Besides the short handguard, none really.
hasn't come out yet

Now it seems as if it's really easy from here, but I don't really know the performance of Milsig's markers compared to the Phenom.
Should I wait for the release of the MK3/M17 and choose from that, or get the Phenom and kit?
I'm leaning towards Milsig, but TechPB you can decide for me.

I don't even have funds for this yet. I'm saving up and selling stuff in the meantime to get some money.
I can't legally work yet.

Having owned a 1st generation paradigm i think i have a little bit to offer you in terms of advice. I've also owned a x7 Phenom. I experienced a lot of issues with my Milsig, clips not working properly, gun breaking down, etc. Personally i would save the money and get a phenom with a tac cap. That way you have the ability to go limited ammo and your not carry 15 extra pounds for the clips. If you or i had ther money i would look into the dye dam but thats a pricey marker. Modern Intel did a review an the new Paradigm and while hey liked it, it does still have bugs. As for the M17, nobody including Milsig knows when its coming out so unless you want to wait indefinetly choose another marker.

Hopefully this helps,

Although I love the DAM, I am not ready to make a commitment to something that expensive.
I'm leaning towards the Milsig right now.

Do what I'm doing right now, wait. I feel that a lot more options for magfed will be coming out in the next few months, so don't make a decision until the money's in your hands.

Yeah, I'm not set in stone about Milsig, because I don't have the money yet.
I'm waiting, because last time I wanted to go mag-fed more options came out so I waited for a bit.

With Rap4's past products, it's most likely not gonna be out until I graduate college.

That would be too far out of my price range.
I'm trying to stay under 400-500 with mags and gear.

If you want something a little more unique you could go with something like this. It's not mine, but by the end of the month I will have one just like it :D/>/>

You mentioned you wanted to wait a while maybe. If that's the case, yet your price range is around 500, i recommend saving for this one.

http://carmatech.net/products.php

It's made of some very lightweight materials, and has an extremely authentic scenario look to it. The biggest con is their involvement in paintball. While they seem to be a very legitimate, innovative, and extremely capable of doing so, it is still very difficult to trust such a new company. But their guns man. They just look completely badass.
