Also that was true for the American market (the iOS/Android OS usage comparison). I'm not sure about worldwide.

Besides that, you're talking about the original iPods, Nanos, Classics, Photos, Shuffles, etc. being around since 2001. Those don't run iOS. If you included those along with modern Apple iOS devices, Androids would be utterly dwarfed. The first iPod Touch wasn't released until 2007 either, and that was the start of iOS.
