1. price
2. comfort
3. trigger
4. sound signature/softness on paint
5. reliability
6. features (on/off asa, nice barrel, etc)
7. looks
8. customer service

things i don't care about
1. using a 68 4500, i will never be shooting more than 3/4 a case per game.
2. macroline/macrolineless. To me they both have their pros/cons

My gun is a drone dx and i think it was well worth it so it does matchup. The only problem it has sometimes is a sticking drive train but this can be fixed through tuning and only occurs during the winter.

Smoothness/Sound
Ergos
Looks
Reliability

If you maintain most markers they'll be pretty reliable, that's why It's not too high on my list. But the shot quality is definitely the number one thing I look for.

1.) Does it shoot paintballs
2.) Does it shoot paintballs on a consistent basis

If it does both of those things, I will play with it. No need to be a snob...the gun isn't going to make you better.

Smoothness of shot
Quietness of the shot
Ergonomics
Electronics and what they offer
If it comes stock with everything; no upgrades needed ever.
Ease of maintainence.

All this talk about durability and reliability; that all is expected, especially now in 2012/2013

Unless the Crossover has a barrel milled as poorly as some really cheap guns (which I doubt due to its price but I could very well be wrong), bore size will not make much of a difference at all on "accuracy". An underbore will give more consistent velocity and added efficiency.

i ca guarantee you that if i put a deadlywind null in .684 it would shoot straighter and closer

A barrel does not make paintballs fly straighter. Look up the Punkworks testing on this site; the only factor that affects how straight a paintball flys is the quality and roundness of the paintballs youre shooting.
