I have around $70 in my paypal and I want to know what to buy next.

I have loved Kershaw knives but I was maybe looking for another folder, a fixed blade with a sheath or a really good tac light.

Let me know what you think.

K-bar. No such thing as a really good tac light for that price range.

I was looking into the BK2 but I hear that the sheath dulls the knife.

Most sheaths take a lil of the edge off a new knife but once the sheath is worn in its no longer an issue.

No problem. Side note- make sure you know what type of edge you get on a knife. A good knife is only good as long as its sharp so learning to sharpin your knives is invaluable.

the only lights i trust are surefire... you pay for it, but ive personally beat the shit out of a old non-led light on 2 deployments and it never once failed....

save up the money, and splurge on a sure fire, you wont regret it....

I like stream light. Good value, but nothing for $70.

I like Kershaw, too, but you can't beat a Spyderco! They have a few more budget friendly knives, but the one that became my EDC is a ParaMilitary2. Cost me a few over $100, and worth every penny.

Amazing ergos, amazing sharpness, great blade steel, pointy enough for delicate work, broad enough for self defense, its the perfect carry knife!
I used to secondary carry a Spyderco Ladybug mini-knife and a Kershaw Skyline FB, but soon stopped because the PM2 could do it all.
I sometimes carry the FB if I'm going somewhere where I think I might need 2 blades as well as when I'm biking since a blade in pocket sucks when taking a spill, and I sometimes carry the ladybug as well if I'm in wierd conditions since it's in H1 rust-proof steel, but otherwise the PM2 is my knife...

As for a carry flashlight, 4sevens quark pro QPA single AA. Lots of modes, plenty bright, great battery life, small, light, easy to use, and a great warranty.
Plus it comes with a ton of extras and accessories, and fits the budget quite nicely around $50.

The pm2 is awesome, but my yojimbo2 is my favorite. I also prefer Spydercos...they just a better fit for my style.

I also have the Quark Pro QP2L-X. I usually carry the gen2 Preon 2 but the quark pro and Fenix pd32 UE are for those times I need a higher output...or for when I want to blind people :P

Its not even funny how cool this light is. Plus the crenulated bezel means I can wail on a dude with it if I'm forced to and it'll do some damage.
