lube substitute

i'm playing this week and have no time to buy proper lube... is there anything else i could use? would sex lube work?

Is it water based? What sort of lube are we talking here? I am assuming that it would be water based, and I would say that it would work, although not for that long. I would NOT suggest it for a spoolie. But if you have a poppet, it should be fine. Which gun are we talking? Also, if it is water based, but has additives (tingling, warming, etc) then I suggest against it, because there is no knowing how it would effect things.

To be perfectly honest, though, if you have a poppet, I would just not relube. It will more than likely be fine. Dont use WD40, which will wreak havoc on the o-rings. Olive oil, or something like that SHOULD work fine, but I would get it cleaned out of the gun ASAP once done so it doesnt spoil in there.

Go to a hardware store and get air tool oil or any synthetic grease that is safe on rubber.

it's plain durex lube that i've got... i've just split up with my girlfreind so im not going to be using it for anything else... i'ts a blowback marker?

Although TheGuy is correct in stating that you really should get a proper lube, the Durex will likely be fine. But since you have a blowback, I am assuming that it is a Spyder/Spyder clone, or a Tippmann. I really dont think that you need to relube it unless it has been AGES. If buying another lube is completely out of the question, then bring the Durex with you, but try shooting it without, and use it as a last resort. Blowbacks are pretty carefree when it comes to the frequency of lubing.

Thats not related to lacking lube, BT4's don't ever need lube until they start leaking, then you just pour it by the truckload into the ASA.

Make sure you haven't overtightened the screws at the back of the body.
