i have a standard ninja regulator and all of a sudden while i was playing the other day it started to leak really bad, getting worse when i shot and slowing down when i wasn't. it sounded like it was coming from the gauge area so i removed it cleaned the threads and put it back on using blue loctite. at the same time i cleaned and lubed the rest of the regulator spring, piston, ect.. i got it filled to 2000 psi and it was holding air fine while i was shooting until it got down to around 500 psi then it started to leak again but instead of it coming from the gauge it was coming from the set screw area right beside the gauge? what is going on here?
any help is appreciated
thanks

it sounds like it was not the gauge the first time but the piston. when the o-rings on the piston do not seal it will leak where the bonnet meets the body or the set screws. you did the right thing but if they are still leaking you may want to replace the piston o-rings or the entire piston assembly.
