Took me a good 4 months to get the parts but it was all worth it. It looks great. Shooting video coming when I get paint/air.

This thing shoots great! The trigger pull is short and light, borderline walkable. It shoots very smooth, very quiet, and little kick. I love it. I've found something I like better than mags!

I know that you can buy a mech kit on ebay for about $70-80 and you could buy a broken ion for less than $100.So,probably about $200 if you don't upgrade it.
Or,you could do like Dev did,and go all out on it and spend about $350,like he said.

And as for the gun,I believe you are one of the few people that can actually make a sexy ion

Yeah it's my ccm reg. Basically the same exact thing internally to the older bob long torpedo regs that are used on the vice etc etc.

Before I built this, a micromag with an xvalve/level 10 was my go to gun, other than my pumps and my ego 11 of course, but it was my favorite gun to shoot. I have since sold that to fund this and my retro 7 but still have some mags lying around. Now I'm understanding how a mech ion really trumps automags. They are smoother, more efficient, and quieter. It may not be faster than a crazy rt mag like I had, but oh well, I'll take the other pros over firepower. I'll never completely go away from mags, but the mech ion has replaced my mag as my mech gun of choice.
