I decided to forgo the '98 and have my sights set on the Gog G1 for woodsball / scenario. I wish I would've saw that gun first but ended up giving it to my cousin so it's not that bad.
I didn't really do anything to it. I have to send it to tippmann since after 3 uses it crapped out on me. Won't shot after 1 shot.

Basically everything that has to be said has been said. Unfortunately woodsball markers tend to be money pits at the low end range and even at the high end price there are only a few features that would justify the price.

if you like the durability of a tippmann go for a crossover! especially with the price drop their very nice pick ups! not to mention if you get a newer barrel and a rotor/z2/spire/scion/halo tt/pinokio/velocity/jr etc and tank they will all fit your crossover. Unless your tippmann uses anything but a5 threads which I don't think many do...

Well you live and you learn, I tried speedball and it's just not my cup of tea.
But now I've got the mask, hopper and tank. I'm getting the GOG G1 which is well priced, compared to the X7 or A5. I read Mike's review on its counter part the SP1.
