Most internal macroline markers are suggested to be run at LP so you don't blow the macroline in the marker.

500psi is the recommended input for a 'cocker with pneumatics.
You can get a lot lower, especially with a pump.

You might reach some issues (it could sweet spot very low out if the box) but put some new springs in it and you'll be more than fine. This is however about the lowest quality (it'll still work) pump gun you can buy, so decide really what your price range is and then we can help you out better on deciding a pump.

Price range is about I would say the most $350 or $400. Don't want to buy a new ccm or something too bad as a first pump

* If the gun doesn't have macroline, use low pressure 300psi (G6R, Machine Vapor, Luxe, Victory, DAM, Vanguard Demon, Clone GT)
* If the gun has macroline and a regulator, use mid-pressure 500psi (DM13, Ego 11, Geo 3, ETEK, Proto Reflex)
* If the gun doesn't have a regulator, use high pressure 850psi (Tippmann A5, Kingman Spyder, Azodin Kaos, Tippmann M98, Tippmann Gryphon, etc)
This is just a recommendation, of course many guns are designed to function on just about any output pressure.

Thanks again mike. Guess whatever pump I decide to get I'll have to out a reg on it. Might be better in the long run anyways to do that

pump guns with no reg on it, like the Traccerr or the Phantom, tend to work best at high pressure
But keep in mind, some of the older style pumps need CO2 to work properly. Phantoms especially tend to like CO2, because the gas continous to expand as it exits the gun to get the ball to 300fps
I've had several pump guns that were designed specifically for CO2, that just didn't have volume needed to get to 300fps with HPA. The Arrow PREcision Sterling was one that comes to mind, I put everything from 700 to 1100psi HPA into it, couldn't get it above 260fps. With CO2 it would shoot 320fps all day long, but not with HPA
Go with the autococker style pump guns, like the new Empire Sniper, amazing guns

Cockers can be converted to every style of pump play.
