Whats the best way to empty an HPA tank? Got some regs to switch

I have plenty of ideas but I figured there is probably a right way. Thanks for viewing.

Dry fire, stick it in your asa and let ot leak out by taking out your bolt.

Does no paintball gun mean you have no access to an ASA or anything like that (got one just lying around)? I just stick it in the ASA, take out the macroline, and turn on the ASA to degas any tanks.

Also a remote line asa would work.

btw, if you do vent out the air, make sure you let it slowly vent out. dont just crank it all the way down and degas the tank in like 3 seconds.
while it will have probably no noticeable effect, degassing your tank that quickly can stress the materials of your tank.
